Entering its tenth year in 2008, Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid is the second oldest North America Sports event (behind Subaru Ironman Canada) and is one of the most popular triathlon events in the sport. The 2008 event sold out for general entry in a matter of minutes.

The unique course features the transition zone and finish line area located on the Olympic Speedskating Oval. Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid offers a beautiful swim in Mirror Lake, a challenging bike course through the Adirondacks, as well as, an equally as challenging marathon course.

This epic event has seen some of the best in Ironman racing. The 2008 Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid will be the NA Sports Men’s Professional Championship and will be sure to draw a competitive contingent of athletes.
